A BRIEF HISTORY

Founded in Illinois in 1967 by Donald T. Sapit, Sigma Press, a commercial printing business, was strategically developed to become Sigma Marketing. Sigma focused on print production and sales to a specific market segment that utilized desk pad calendars as a vehicle for advertising and sales promotion. Seeking friendlier climate, Sigma relocated the administrative, marketing, and prepress production facilities to Florida in 1985.

After the move, Don’s son, Mike, joined the business. Mike has a degree in graphic arts from Illinois State University and has held production and estimating positions in the Chicago area printing industry. In 1993, Mike became President of Sigma, and Don was named Chairman of the Board.

During the years following Sigma’s relocation, the product line was expanded beyond the original desk pad calendar to include new formats and sizes. Sigma’s services and capabilities became even more diversified as they observed a trend in larger corporate clients. Companies were looking for unique calendars, multiple products, and vendors to whom they could source the entire promotional and administrative management of their program.

Sigma works closely with your corporate marketing department to design and produce materials and order forms for your calendar program. All orders are collected, monitored, and processed by our experienced staff, from typesetting of individual imprints, proofing, and printing, to distribution and shipment tracking.

All locations will receive confirmation of their orders. If products are offered with individual imprints, each of the ordering locations will receive a proof to approve before printing. Questions concerning calendars can be handled directly by Sigma, saving your busy staff time and money.

Printing & Bindery: Our administrative staff works closely with supervisors and technicians in all phases of printing and bindery throughout the year to meet our quality standards, and to coordinate each project through to completion. Each project is unique and matched to the best-suited print and bindery equipment for optimum production and economy.

Calendar Imprinting: Calendars for each location can be individually imprinted, creating a customized, professional appearance. Imprint information often includes logos, telephone numbers, fax numbers, addresses—both physical and remittance, and e-mail. You designate what information can be included in an imprint.

Our Specialty Promotions Division provides our customers with products to meet their advertising and promotional needs, in addition to our custom calendar line. We offer imprinting that calls attention to your company logo or message, or features more subtle branding, allowing the product itself to stand out.

As a member of the Advertising Specialty Institute (ASI), we have exclusive access to over 500,000 products from more than 3,500 suppliers. Their network of resources and information systems allows us to provide customers with fast and comprehensive product research, manufacturer’s information, product data, pricing, and specials. Samples are made available for your inspection.

Sigma’s complete art department is available to prepare your logo or unique graphics for the best imprint image. Beautifully designed flyers, brochures, order forms, Web pages, catalogs, and other support materials can be generated by our staff to enhance your special promotion. All orders are processed promptly and carefully, shipped to your door, or direct to your locations or customers using our complete fulfillment services.
